Mando and Fronte Debate the ROY Race

Listen below to an excerpt from our weekly Check Down radio broadcast, which streams live on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 on 91.1 WSPN and Instagram Live (@CheckDownSports).

0:00   Fronte: Mitchell’s stats and his ability to lead Utah on recent winning streak put him ahead of Simmons

1:05   Mando: “Simmons has the best numbers overall — over 16 points, 4th in the NBA in assists, close to 8 rebounds per game…he’s also first among top rookies in Player Efficiency Rating.”

3:30   Mando: “Jayson Tatum might be the most valuable rookie, though. He has the best on/off court splits on the Celtics…and if you put him on the Utah Jazz, I’d bet he’d average close to 20 points per game like Mitchell is now, too.”
