Straight Up: 5-5

Spread: 4-6

Atlanta Hawks @ Chicago Bulls

Straight Up: Bulls (-135)

Spread: Bulls (-2.5)

With both teams combining for just one win in seven games, it’s obvious that this isn’t the most exciting matchup of the night. For Atlanta, this is the lastof their five game road trip to start the year. A five game road trip is an arduous task for any team, especially a Hawks team that lacks talent and is plagued with injuries. While they are facing a Bulls team that has yet to win a game, I anticipate them to be mentally and physically drained after a tough start to the year.

Dallas Mavericks @ Memphis Grizzlies

Straight Up: Grizzlies (-300)

Spread: Grizzlies (-7.5)

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. No one expected the Grizzlies to fall to a winless Mavericks team last night. But don’t expect lightning to strike twice in the same place. The Grizzlies are the far superior team and they’ll prove it in tonight’s rematch. It’s also worth noting that Chandler Parsons should return to the Grizzlies lineup for this matchup.

Boston Celtics @ Milwaukee Bucks

Straight Up: Bucks (-166)

Spread: Celtics (+4)

The Bucks have proven they can compete with the best of the Eastern Conference this season. This is largely due to the play from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has emerged as an early season favorite to secure MVP honors. On the other hand, the Celtics have begun to adjust to life without Gordon Hayward. Currently riding a two game win streak, they are arguable a different team than the one that lost to the Bucks on Saturday. This game stays close, but ultimately the Bucks prevail in the end, further cementing their legitimacy as a contender. Malcom Brodgon should aid the Bucks efforts as he returns to the lineup tonight. It’s worth noting that the Celtics are 3-1 ATS this year.

LA Clippers @ Portland Trailblazers

Straight Up: Clippers (+120)

Spread: Clippers (+2.5)

Interestingly enough, both these teams are a combined 7-0 ATS this year. While I think this will be a really close game, I’m picking the Clippers to narrowly edge out the Trailblazers in what should be the most exciting game of the evening. In the past, LA’s front court of Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan has been a nightmare for Portland. The Clippers swept a three game series against the Trailblazers last year, and have won 10 out of their last 14 meetings.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Sacramento Kings

Straight Up: Pelicans (-2.5)

Spread: Pelicans (-135)

DeMarcus Cousins returns to Sacramento as the struggling Pelicans look to find their way. Cousins has come out of the gate hot, averaging 31 points and 12 rebounds a game. However, his level of play has not correlated to Pelican wins. A lot is pointing toward a Kings upset, but I believe in Cousins to will his team to victory during his return to Sacramento.
