NBA Bets (11/8): Durant-less Warriors Face Young T-Wolves

Records:

Straight Up: 18-13

Spread: 15-16

Teaser: 0-0

Indiana Pacers @ Detroit Pistons

Straight Up: Pistons (-270)

Spread: Pistons (-7.0)

After a surprisingly solid start to the year, the Pacers have come back to Earth and find themselves in the midst of a three game losing streak. It doesn’t get any easier for them tonight as they visit a Pistons team that holds the second best record in the Eastern Conference. Detroit will also be well rested coming off a three-day break. Pistons are 7-2-1 ATS this year.

New York Knicks @ Orlando Magic

Straight Up: Knicks (+270)

Spread: Knicks (+7.5)

Don’t look now, but the Knicks are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning six of their last seven games. Tonight they travel south to face off against a Magic team that has suffered two consecutive double-digit home losses. Not only is New York 6-1 SU in their last seven games, but they also are 6-1 ATS.

LA Lakers @ Boston Celtics

Straight Up: Celtics (-280)

Spread: Celtics (-7.0)

Nothing like a classic Gold vs Green matchup. However, this one is pretty one-sided. The Celtics are the hottest team in the league and look to send their win-streak into double digits tonight. On the other hand, the Lakers, albeit currently riding a two game win-streak, come into Boston overmatched. Their poster boy, Lonzo Ball, is having an inauspicious start to his NBA career, shooting just 29% from the field. C’s get their 10th win tonight relatively easily.

Miami Heat @ Phoenix Suns

Straight Up: Heat (-220)

Spread: Suns (+6)

I kept flip-flopping on this game because of how evenly matched these teams are. Luckily for Miami, Dion Waiters will return to Miami’s lineup after missing last game for the birth of his child. While I think the Heat ultimately prevail, I’ll take the Suns with the points. Miami is 2-6-2 ATS this year.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Golden State Warriors

Straight Up: Warriors (-345)

Spread: Warriors (-8.5)

Yes, I’m aware the Warriors will be without last year’s Finals MVP, Kevin Durant. Yes, I know the T-wolves are riding a five game win streak. But the Warrior are also riding a four game win streak. They also have a perennial All-star and former two-time MVP named Steph Curry, ever heard of him? With Golden State’s defense finally coming to form, they should be able to take care of business on their home court tonight. Warriors have won 17 out of their last 20 meetings with the T-Wolves.
