*Record 5-5*

And just like that, we’re onto the Conference Finals. And what better matchup to start with than the Western Conference Finals featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. If your counting out Oklahoma City, don’t. I have a strong feeling that this series is going to be a seven game war. But first, let’s start with Game 1.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Golden State Warriors

The Thunder and rolling into Oracle Arena feeling pretty good. Not only did they defeat the favorite to advance to the Western Final, the San Antonio Spurs, but they did so while receiving a ton of production from Westbrook and Durant. These guys are lethal. They are quick, can beat you from the outside, and can bang with anyone inside. Plus, we all know Steph Curry is yet to play at 100% and probably won’t this series. How will he deal with trying to defend OKC’s killer fast breaks led by Russell Westbrook? Opening as the 7 point underdog, a lot is telling me to take the Warriors. The Thunder 1-11 SU and 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog of 7 points or less. Regardless that the Thunder held a lead going into the fourth quarter in all three games, the Warriors still swept them in the regular season. But I’m a believer that teams change during the postseason. Some teams rise to the occasion and others don’t. I think this Thunder team has risen to the occasion and will be able to play step for step with the Warriors. Take the underdog tonight because even without the points, they have a good chance to win.

Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder (+7, -110)
